WHY: Especially if you have not made it out for your first tournament, here’s a simple, short and fun three-round
opportunity to break the ice and show off the skills you’ve learned this year! If you’ve already played in several tournaments, this will be great tournament practice before State!!
WHEN: Saturday, February 27th 10am
WHERE: Kingsley Junior High School
SECTIONS: Three [Lower Primary, LP (K-1); Upper Primary, UP (2-3); Elementary (4-5)]
TIME LIMITS: LP & UP, 3 rounds, G/30; Elementary, 3 rounds, G/45
ENTRY FEE: $15 payable to the Northpoint Elementary Chess Club
(USCF membership is required, JTP acceptable for K-3 advanced online registration preferred)
ENTRY DEADLINE: Extended to 6pm Friday February 26th or 270 participants, whichever is first

STARTING TIME: Check in with our team by 9:15am. First round will begin at 10am with subsequent rounds to follow as soon as possible. Trophies for all who play the three rounds will be presented ASAP.
TROPHIES/PRIZES: Awards will be presented to all participants who play all three rounds. No byes are permitted.
FOOD SERVICE: Pizza, sandwiches, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
